Bungy Jumping – When Fear is Actually Fun

ACTION CULTURE founder Glenn talks to COOP Magazine Switzerland about Bungy Jumping and Fear.

COOP Magazine recently caught up with Glenn in the mountains of Engelberg, Switzerland to film first-time bungy jumpers as they prepared to bungy jump from a gondola 140M above the ground below. The article examines fear; it’s effects and rewards.

After more than a decade of experience on the jump-deck helping nervous first-time bungy jumpers break through their fears and take the leap, Glenn was more than happy to share his thoughts on what makes it such a great buzz.

What happens to us when we face incredible fear, and why it can be so rewarding when it happens in a safe environment. Are we hard-wired to get rewards for the risks we take or is it just pure relief that we feel when everything works out ok? These are interesting questions and there may not be one simple answer.
